The oil pipe used in the hydraulic system of machine tools, including steel pipe, copper pipe, nylon pipe, rubber hose and plastic pipe, should be selected according to the relative position of the connecting components, the use of the environment and the working pressure.

Copper, steel and nylon tubes are hard tubes used to connect fixed elements in relative positions. Steel tube can withstand high pressure, cheap, oil resistance, corrosion resistance and rigidity are good. However, it can not be arbitrarily bent in assembly, and is often used for assembling convenient pressure pipelines. Purple steel pipe bending is more convenient, because of the small stiffness in the assembly can also have a small amount of deformation, it is easy to assemble but low pressure capacity, the price is also expensive, weak anti-expansion capacity and easy to make oil oxidation, should be used as little as possible. Brass tubes have higher bearing capacity but are more difficult to bend. Nylon tube has good pressure resistance and can be bent at will when heated to 160-170℃ in oil. It is used for return tubing in actual production.

Rubber hose and plastic hose are often used to connect two relative moving components. Rubber hose is divided into high pressure and low pressure. High pressure rubber pipe is in the middle of the rubber pipe with a layer or several layers of braided steel wire, its bearing capacity is high. The low-pressure rubber pipe uses braided cotton and hemp instead of braided steel wire, which is mostly used for low-pressure oil return pipeline. The bending radius of the hose should be greater than 9 times the outer diameter, and the hose should be bent at least 6 times the diameter from the joint, so the hose takes up a large space. Hose should not be connected between the hydraulic cylinder and the governor valve, otherwise the moving parts are easy to creep.
